Ditches were full on the Brazoria County/Galveston County Border when I left for work at 5:15 this afternoon. Just a little water comin into my yard, but the pasture next door already has an inch or 2 standing.

We sat a rain gauge out this afternoon here in Kingwood. Interested to see how much we end up with.

How is it that the wind is out of the north in Rockport?

Go out and empty it often...otherwise you won't really know once it fills up the storms a few years ago up in Austin Co, I know we had at least 12"+ of rain in a few days, but I don't know the total because I didn't empty the gauges except for in the mornings

Hurricane winds blow in a counter-clockwise rotation. Wind direction depends on your position to the eye.

That's the back side of the eye at this moment. Counterclockwise rotation.

That is the reason for the stall and unpredictable route. There are 2 fronts coming down from northeast and northwest that are pushing against the hurricane and thus causing it to sit and grow. Whichever front loses strength first (looks to be the eastern front) will let the storm move that direction. Which is why currently it shows the path to be up along the coast in a day or two. It's also as mentioned above the side that you're on. But the 3 fronts clashing are what will cause the tornados to pop up

It's coming right at it. I could see E-NE, but not due north unless you're in CC.

Stay safe and prayers up to those in the path of the storm!
