Because of the drought I ran into several stump-tails. Stepped right on top of one. I hate snakes !Last edited by sharkhunter; 09-11-2022, 07:27 PM.

Caught one 'coon. No coyotes. Had a deer snap and a run-over.
Guy that has cows on the place tipped a trap out of the bed when he ran over the end of the spring.
No damage. Just screwed it back into the ground.

I had a couple #2s still unused, so I made a sort-of Mafia set with one tail joint from a hog carcass nearby.
Circled thing is the bone.
I also found a snapped trap from after I checked this morning.
I hadn't set the pan tension correctly.
There were coyote tracks nearby, too, so I moved the trap a little. Didn't add any new lures.

Caught 2 more coons.
The trap I moved yesterday was visited by a pup, that slid his ****ed foot under a dirt clod I placed as a stepping guide.
(Forgot my phone, so no pic of the first coon or the side step.)
I'm having lots of hog flip-outs on those sets behind my brother's house, so I'm going to pull them and set somewhere else.
Also had one ran over.
