I'm seeing a fairly big difference in the stature between the two deer. Appears to be quite a bit of growth in one year.

No protein, that's why it's quite surprising if it is him. On our place he's exceptional for his age. Maybe his mother was malnourished? Idk

I'm not sure I can see anything in the third pic on the front left but I do see a black spot on the back left in both those pics where the leg meets his gut.
