This is a 300 acre bow only lease with only 3 hunters allowed. If I can get that spike on a pattern I'm sure I could get a young bowhunter to take him. I've had the lease for 3 years and I've never even had a pic of him before! And I think he's been there about 4X that long!!! He might be a little tough to pattern.

He probably wasn't a spike the past couple years.

That doesn't look like a genetic issue to me and it isn't like you can control any of that on 300 acres anyway. Shoot him if you want but I wouldn't worry about needing to get him out of the herd.

If you don't have a wife or young guy/girl to burn the tag, you should kill him yourself. If you're in it for the long haul, you need to accept that you can't shoot a stud every year...
