Had very little success. Took the tub out a few weeks ago and gave it to the cows. Only had one deer pic compared to a couple hundred hog pics on the tub.

That is kind of what I figured. I had similar results with less hogs.

      What a waste

I like either the Record Rack or Purina bag granular mineral. Take a shovel and rake and dig out about 4-6" of dirt and mix in mineral. More natural and the deer seem to actually use it more. However, deer wont just eat mineral to eat it. They only use what they need depending on habitat and feed conditions

We have 5 mineral sites on our 500 acres. Each site has a trophy rock partially buried, a 20 pound bag of the Granular Record Rack mixed in the soil, and a 20 pound bucket of Lucky Buck mineral(granular) mixed in the soil as well. Each corn feeder has all 3 minerals within 30-40 yards of it. The deer go nuts for it from now till August.

I use American Cattleman granular mineral salt. Deer love it. Never had a lot of luck with blocks aside from the pigs tearing up a trophy rock.

I get it at Tractor Supply. The mineral type is $6-$7 for 50 lbs.
