So I have some FMJ's that I got for a heck of a price when I first started learning to shoot my bow. Well the ones I got are 340's and I had them cut to 27 1/2" and I was shooting 60lbs at the time. I Switched to some different arrows that were correctly spined and my groupings instantly shrunk. These things are just too stiff for my bow even with 125 grain field points. I'm shooting a 70lbs bow now set at 66lbs and at 70lbs they should be fine but I don't want to shoot at a full 70lbs. It's just a bit much for me.
So that said my question is how do you add weight to the front of the arrow to weaken the shaft a bit further? Do they make some kind of adapter you can screw in to add another 25 or 50 grains? I know the best solution would be to sell the dozen arrows I have and buy the right ones but I got these for $40 for the whole dozen. Any ideas how to add weight to these rather than to spend a bunch of money on new ones?
Also please don't just message back that them being too stiff is fine because I can tell you that they are WAY too stiff and DONT work well right now.
