I see a lot of "target hybrid" sights in the woods now with a longer sight bar. the longer the sight bar the bigger the pin gap....plus the ability to aim at more exact yardage. (thats what allows a 3D shooter to aim for 37 or 38 yrds..he has the ability to adjust that difference) as where a sight that is 2" in front of riser wont move for awhile (even 10yrds+)

I've only been shooting for a little over a month and the guy at Bass Pro set it up. He set my pins at 10, 20, and 35. I sucked at 18 yards forever because that's as far as I could shoot and my groups were inconsistent and not nearly tight enough.
I finally was able to shoot at 35, 45, and 50 yards over the last couple of days. Since I don't know enough about his stuff right now, I was basically shooting 50 yards by using my level bubble that sits at the bottom of my sight as my 4th pin from 50 yards out. Not sure if I was doing it right, but I stayed within the target zones.
After shooting at those distances for about 4-5 rounds, I went back to 25 yards and my groupings were much tighter than before. I can't wait to shoot again at those longer distances next week when I'm at the lease. It was a big confidence booster. So, should I move my sight down a notch and set my first pin at 20 and final pin at 50? Not sure what to do.
