The Bowtech Insanity is crazy fast, light and smooth shooting! For me I guess its a mental thing, but with so much speed I want to be able to channel it into something a little heavier. My grouping were a little off, so I opted to get a different set of arrows and the FMJ's have not let me down! Clean pass through on both Caribou's up here in Alaska.

Carbon Express Hunter's are another great arrow, but very light and fast. They are a much better fit shooting out of the Mathews Monster.

I will tell you they carry enough KE to pass through a moose and not be able to find your arrow after it passes through, did it 2 weeks ago. Busted a rib going in and one coming out

Sweet! Well I shot out to 40 for a bit. But I suck at 40. Never really practiced passed 30. I'm just inconsistent passed 30. But seems like I won't have to change anything. But with the axis anything 30 and under I could shoot with my sight set to 25 with very very little holding over or under. Not so much with the FMJs. I didn't try it for long though just a few shots with it at to 25. Was trying to make sure the rest of the yardage would be good.

I think I'm inconsistent at 40 cause its hard for me to see esp a paper target. So I've never felt comfortable shooting that far.

I've chronoed my bow, beleive it or not, speed doesn't drop as much as what I thought at extended yardage.

Jeremy, you need to shoot some practice arrows at 60 and above. You can start at 50. The longer yardage will help you focus more on the target and make shorter shots a "chip shot" . Also if an arrow is lost, it was just a practice arrow. And can usually be found when all the grass dies off . I'd be glad to come help ya. I need some longer practice my self.

I went to FMJ's after Blue Streaks, 348 grain vs 420, 294 vs 269 fps, I'll still take my FMJ's anyday. Quieter and I'm banking on more penetration.

Before I shot easton axis 400's with a total weight of 408grns of I remember correctly. Well funny thing is, the FMJs shot dead on without any turning at all, they actually shoot better! Why did I not have to change my sights and such? The FMJs are 10.2gpi and the axis were 8.6gpi. Both cut to 27.5 with 100gr tips and blazer vanes. Any insight?
To the OP for better idea on assesment, what is your draw weight, draw length, arrow length, and what bow are you shooting?
