You guys are so funny. Not one of you have told me a different way. And yes we tuned bows with out a draw board also and the bows shot great and know one new the difference. But when there is a tool to help improve your ability to do a job why not.

It's funny that all I'm getting is smart ***** answers.

I don't shoot low wrist so I guess I don't have your problem.

Jerry at RBO tuned an invasion for me with a hooter shooter through paper.....the n he adjusted it for my form flaws by yoke tuning it. Then we fine tuned with broadheads. That thing was a tack driver and he most certainly uses up to date equipment

Rocky no where even close to what you have done and I never will. I only work on mine and friends. I would never own a shop either. It's a hard job to make it with the Internet. No way to compete, and dealing with customers or smart ***** people like me.

But I am no idiot either. Thank you for the post

Did you test your disagreement with me, or are you just quoting something you read on AT?

I don't have a cable stop bow in my arsenal right now.....

And I have logic....I don't need to test it. My bow only draws so far and it stops. I can't pull my limb stops past my.limbs....impossible.

After owning a shop for 9 years and shooting a bow for 41 years, I have tuned a few in my time. I am done.

And yes I built my own draw board and have used it maybe 3 times.

Rocky Yes sir I have. I do test what I read. Some times with good results some times not. At this time I'm testing for my self the efficiently of a bow with the weight of arrows then next to see on f.o.c. Is worth trying to get above the 10 to 15 %

I can already tell you taht a higher FOC, 15% to 20% will give you more forgiveness, more accuracy and probalby a quieter bow with the added arrow weight. Also,if you are concerned about hunting and penetration, KE will rise and your momentum, the ability of an arrow to penetrate will increase drastically. That is after a 150 grain increase in the front of the arrow for a 19% FOC.

If you do not think I can't tune a bow without a draw board by just eyeballing and shooting, try this. 28" Gold Tip XT Hunter 75/95 with 150 extra rear insert weights added to the front for a total arrow weight of 560 grains and and FOC of right at 19% and I can get almost any fixed head to shoot with my field points. Shooting out of an 09 HCA Speed Pro set at 29" and 70#'s. Put that in your programs and see how underspined that arrow is!
