    Binoculars

Need reccomendations on mid priced binoculars. Didn't know my Nikons were so bad until I looked thru some Leupolds.

I love my Steiner Predator bino's, not sure if they are what your calling mid-priced though

If you liked the Leupolds do look through the Vortex Viper HD's...

I have a pair of the Leaupold Cascade 10X42's that were in the $300 range, they are good glass and I have no complaints at all with them. At the end of last year I could not find them and thought I had lost them... That brings us to this year, I needed a pair of Binos and bought the Viper HD's, better glass for sure but they were a bit more money being in the +$500 range, was in Illinois a couple weeks ago and I got way more range out of the Vipers than the Leupolds (Long range) Not much difference in the 400yd range.. Viper also has an unconditional warranty...

Found my leupolds... Now I have two pair of good Bino's

I looked tbrough the leupold cascades 10x42 yesterday at walmart and man oh man are those some good looking binos. I want a pair bad. They had em for 277 there at walmart. These will be the ones I buy when I decide to drop the coin on em.

I got mine off eBay for under $200 NIB, I got the 12x42 predators. I really like that once they are focused to your eyes that's all you have to do, no constant focusing on different objects at different yardages

I bought a pair of Leupold 12x50 Mojaves about two years ago for around $400 I think (not sure what they cost now). Man the glass in these are very impressive! I have heard great things about the Vortex bino's too

I know I may be asking for the impossible but are there any binoculars in the $150 range that are worth recommending?

Pay attention to where they are made.

The good ones are from USA, Japan and Germany

I WILL NOT be buying anything from Steiner or Burris (who now owns Steiner). Customer service is awful, and I refuse to pay for repairs for faulty new product.

I wound up with Leupold Mojave's. Made in Japan. I went with 8x42. It gathers light really well, are reasonably light and very clear.

I would stick with the Steiner Predators or vortex glass
