    Nice idea. Thanks.

I believe that its moisture in general that makes the top collapse. after the top collapses then the sides are no longer as strong and will possible collapse as well. this happens to mine quite often.

If, the rods get broken, I replace mine with 1/2 CPVC pipes, much stronger than the fiberglass rods that break easily. The pvc pipes also hold up well with snow.
Mine are on platforms and the wind can collapse them.

Sounds like this is a pretty normal problem. I just need to keep an eye on it and make sure nothing breaks. Thanks again.

This is the ticket BTG.▲ I have a few old Double Bull blinds, and the tops will pop in if the sides are pulled out too tight, or if the top gets a lot of dew on it at night. If you have the v flap on top , leave just a little part unzipped so if the top pops in , and it rains the water can drain out ,and it will not break the support rods.

It happened to my Predator G.B. on a Labor Day when we had a high wind that weekend, it was out for few hours while we went to Schlitterbahn and came back only to find it like this. It broke my top rod. I had a warranty coverage that I bought for an added insurance with Cabela's. They replaced it. It happens. I stake all corner eyelets and stake down all the ropes except for the top part from now on. Learned my lesson the hard way!

I've never left it out and I did the last time I went to the ranch. I am nervous to see if it holds up when I get back on the 17th. I usually don't like to leave it out in the open but I had to do that so the deers in the area would get used to it. I even brushed it in so we shall see!

Good luck with yours. Make sure it is tied down and staked in angle to ensure the stability of your pop up blind.

happened to me and no cows also...wind did it to mine. The inside hub got twisted and I just popped it back into place.

The wind does this to mine.

pvc cut to right length to prop up top when your not hunting is the cheapest way to go and works good. Another option is WalMart has a single pole shooting stick that adjusts for under 10.00 that you can use also. When I am through hunting I just move my chair to the center and extend it to the center of the roof.

It's the wind. Mine is blown over almost every time I go out there. Once I staked it down it was no longer a problem though

Yep the key is to stake it down and tie out the hubs. It hunted the panhandle one year and left my DB Matrix up from labor day to mid February with no issues at all; and if you hunt the panhandle you know how the wind blows and how very little cover there is.

PVC inside works great for the roof hub if you don't have a limb on top to tie off to.

Yesterday I actually finished t postin all my pop ups down. Then wired from the hub eye to the t post. They aint moving this time! (bout time i took my own advice)

Btw the little stakes the pop up comes with... Just take them out and throw them away! Go to academy and get the actual metal tent stakes that look like a nail on droids. They will hold the bottom where u want it.
