You could do what I did and cut the length of the prongs to where they will not contact the riser shelf, but that defeats the purpose to a certain extent of a full capture rest of which I see no need for my use so that is the reason mine are short. Took the top containment bar and cut the rest arms off on the same day i installed it.

Yep. I never put the top containment bar on. My rest came with 2 pronged/fork one is tall than the other.

If you were close I would come do it for you. I don't have anything between my rest and shelf. The rest is the last sound the deer will here before he gets wacked. I use to get Hung up on having a quieter bow. Been killing deer for years without all the extras.

Consider emailing a picture of it installed to Quad and then call their tech support and see what they say. Most smaller archery companies stand behind their products.

Yes, the Sims rubber strip glues to the shelf, I think Cabelas sells them.

I had the same problem with mine-when pro shop changed string, he raised the rest and nock - problem solved. If rest hits shelf, even with padding, it may bounce back up and contact vanes.

I have this same exact problem. My groups are excellent but it is just too loud. I started a thread 2 days ago and was advised to buy a Scholls piece to absorve the force. To put this Scholls piece on the riser so the felt from the prong will slam against this cushion. I want to change my nock point and raise it but not 16 days from season I don't think I will. Might go into the bow shop tomorrow and fix it all. We will see

I rasied the rest and it seems to have stopped hitting the veins. Still louder than it should be though. Do I need to raise my nock now too?? My groups at 20 are two inches high now.

Yes I believe. I am no expert but your nock/arrow should be level and if you raise the rest and not the nock, then it wont be completely level. Put a level on it and see.

I would also say check your entire bow for loose parts and tighten them all. This was some of my problem. I had a missing washer and loose screw. It can be difficult to pinpoint noise sometimes.
