well first off are you shooting off the string or from a D LOOP? Do you have a long draw or a short draw? do you have to climb a tree or walk into a ground blind? I prefer to shoot a LOOP to minimize string twist for a more accurate shot. I personally have a short draw and use a release with the trigger in a forward design so I am not holding/pulling behind my head and can get a solid anchor point. I have shot a wrist strap and glove type releases with ball bearings, double jaw caliper style, and now a hook style release. I prefer the hook style as it makes it very easy and VERY quiet to use my loop at night while sitting the tree for hogs. The caliper was ok but I could hear a click and it made me nervous that I would get made and was also a pain in the rear for me at night. This being said I would consider looking for one that uses a buckle system as they are much quieter than the velcro ones and one that allows you to fold it back to be able to get a grip on whatever you are doing and also for climbing if that is what you are doing.
I personally prefer the BEAST from Truball for everything listed above.
