    Release recommendations

New to bowhunting. Which releases can yall recommend? I just busted mine, and I am looking for something that will take a lot of abuse. Thanks.

I like the Scott releases that I have used; Silverhorn and Mongoose. I also like my Carter Insatiable thumb release rest. Having said that, there are a lot of good releases out there, so hang out with a bunch of arrow slingers, and ask to try their stuff before you decide.

I used a cheap Cobra release for a bunch of years (I bought it around 1989), and handed it down to a buddy a few months ago when I upgraded to a Scott Sabertooth (which I really like)

Anything Scott will last you for years. My main relase is a a Scott Little Bitty Goose with a Scott Little Goose as my backup. Whatever you get make sure it is a buckle strap, they cost a few bucks more but are much better than velcro.

I have changed arrows, sights, bows but I always stay with the exact same release. I shoot the scott mini goose, i taught my son to shoot it as well.

reason is that over the years I've accumulated a single release that I like and now have a multitude of back ups. I have a primary and back up for both of us and another couple at the camp.

always the same feel . . . . to me the release is the most important connection. Get one you are very comfortable with and stick with it.

Got a pretty basic Scott. I think it was around $50 or so. I had just a cheap ole Cabelas release that I bought with the bow. I feel like I made a wise decision with this release. Thanks to all who offered help. I appreciate it. Now I just need to bloody some broadheads.

Im quiet new to compound archery. Got my first bow yesterday, and tried about 10 releases before i felt confident with one.... i ended up with a scott shark and love it!!

all the others didnt feel good to me... But at the moment i put this one on, i knew this is it...
