Ive even used good ole duct tape in a real jam. Last long enough to get your deer home.

Save those broken ratchet straps, they work good too.

I replaced my broken hinges on a large cooler with regular brass hinges from the hardware store, and put some epoxy under them before I tighened the screws. So far, so good.

We have always used epoxy to fill the old screw holes. Then just drill pilot holes and attach the new replacement hinges. It has always worked well for us.

                      Hinges

Great idea, keeps from buying a new cooler. I drilled holes in the lids and stuck in the foam insulation filler, the nozzle will fit right in the hole and the foam is expandable, keeps things colder longer.

we did the same thing on all the ranch coolers we had, seems that the rats didnt like to chew on them while in storage.

The only ones I saw at Academy were not pinned hinges, just flat plastic with screw holes and a groove in the middle so they would bend. $6 a pair, what a rip-off.
