What purpose do the cedar pickets serve other than decorations ?

Mainly to just cover up the foam insulation

Finished this project up this morning. Got the two shelves put in it. Curtain wire hung and added 4 1/2” eye bolts to the skids to help with moving it on and off the trailer.
