Best thing I did was to offset the shower controls. I can turn my shower on and not get hit with cold water. My shower controls are on the outward side facing wall.

Finally got new countertop, then discovered the sinks didn't fit! Ordered new sinks and almost done! Just a few touch ups, Baseboards, and caulking left. On to the next project!

Is the light above the vanity the only one in the restroom?

I’m thinking of going with that style, but I’m concerned it may not be bright enough.

We went thru the bathroom ‘enough light’ with our house. I found that putting a surface mount led (approved for wet locations) in the shower and then trying different wattage bulbs above the sink let us tweak the room’s brightness.

We have two Led can lights too in the main area. No light directly above the shower but plenty of light! Dimmers on both vanity and can lights is a must.
