Awesome work. How did you tie the live edge piece into the house?

I have a live edge mantle drying in my shed, I still need to work out how I'm going to support the weight, it will be 81" and heavy

I cut a big dado in the back and the slab slips over a short wall. I then anchored it with ten # 12 wood screws into the pony wall which is made of 2x4's. It shouldn't go anywhere.

I cut a huge slab for my mantle and I made it where it slips over 4 one inch steel rods that are welded to a steel wall. It's not going anywhere either.
