Thank y'all. I'm really enjoying not getting in a rush to wrap up. Who knows when TPWD will start inspecting home built boats and issuing HIN's again so I'm far from in a rush.

Not good, been there. I ordered a fiberglass trunk lid once. It showed up with forklift tracks across the box. R&L said they did not own any forklifts, so they did not do the damage. Nobody wanted to claim responsibility, for the damage. I found out later, talking to a R&L driver, that as I would have expected they do have forklifts in all of their locations. I tried to file a claim, they would not let me.

Hopefully you can get this thing going by this summer. I would like to try and build a wooden boat someday, I have heard they make good fishing boats, but I don't think I have the patience to build one.

If anyone has been thinking about and wants to fabricate their own skiff from a sent of plans and drawings, I have a couple Bateau sets I am not using that could be sold. We will be building the middle one.

So someone sells blue prints for these things. That would take a lot of the guess work and engineering out of the whole deal. Might be something I could do, it I had any time.

Thank you brother and I did come mighty close to liquidating some assets to keep it going but fortunately people like electricity so I am still working! This build has been like hunting equipment, I made a lot of “awesome” deals according to my bride.

Okay guys, I can’t decide if I should go all white nonskid on the deck or should I do a white nonskid with black and seafoam splatter to help camouflage any blood that may not come out? I would love to run teak looking EVA but that would be too big of a pain to try to keep clean.


What would you do in my shoes?
