I don't know if this will help you or not but I built 2 octagon bases for my Krivoman blinds last year. Start looked almost identical to yours. I did X braces and it is beyond solid.

My son enjoyed being the "torch man" so I could bend them once they got hot

Finished/In Field pics aren't the best but you can zoom in.

Very Nice TexasCanes, if you don’t mind me asking what size tubing did you use for your leg braces? I had some 3/16 2inch laying around so that is what I used but next time I would like something with a tighter fit!

Also I coped my sleeves at 75 degrees and just a 90 off that line, what angle did you cut your leg sleeves at?

Thanks guys. They turned out very nice. We love them.

The X braces are just 1" square tubing, can't remember the thickness but not much. 14 gauge?? The attachment points were cut out of a 6" piece of strap. Same as the feet.

                Frame is 2" 14 gauge and legs are 1 3/4" 11 gauge.

Leg sleeves were cut at 15 degrees.

At times I wish I would have done a staircase instead of the ladder, but 99% of the time I am hunting with my son as we just hand stuff to each other.

The major thing I would change is to add a handrail around the top like most tower blinds have around the porch. I plan to weld up some "bolt on" handrails but just haven't got around to it this year.

Today, Chad got the bracing done! This stand is sturdy and can hold
all my fat friends! Just need to finish the handrail, add plywood then paint. We’re getting close ...

Got the final coat of paint on it, just letting it dry before putting it all together!
