              The 103" is the circumfrence. I didnt get the diameter. The height is 5ft.

                  Since the 103 is circumference I say 1,312 Pounds of corn. Give or take 12 pounds.

                    Came up with very similar numbers.

                    3.14159 x (51.5x51.5) = 8332.3 in2

                    8332.3*60 = 499936.9 in3

                    499936.9 in3 = 289.3 ft3

                    According to Google a cubic foot of shelled corn = 45lbs.

                    45*289.3 = 13,018.5

                    Basically between both of our sets of numbers he's looking at 6 1/2 tons.

                      Formula for area of a circle is Pi*R^2. You calculated R*Pi^2. Makes a big difference in area and volume.
