I've been known to make that simple mistake before. I cut a six foot I-beam one time for a bridge 3 times and it was still too short every everytime.

The 103" is the circumfrence. I didnt get the diameter. The height is 5ft.

Since the 103 is circumference I say 1,312 Pounds of corn. Give or take 12 pounds.

                    8328.065 x height of tank 60 = 499683.9 cubic inches of volume

                    231 cubic inches per Gallon

                    499683.9 / 231 = 2163.13 gallons

Corn is roughly 5.99Lbs per gallon so that is 12957.15 pounds of corn.
Came up with very similar numbers.

                    3.14159 x (51.5x51.5) = 8332.3 in2

                    8332.3*60 = 499936.9 in3

                    499936.9 in3 = 289.3 ft3

According to Google a cubic foot of shelled corn = 45lbs.

                    45*289.3 = 13,018.5

Basically between both of our sets of numbers he's looking at 6 1/2 tons.

Then weigh a particular volume of corn/feed ie 5gal bucket.

Divide that volume out to get the number of buckets it holds theme multiply by the weight of a bucket to get what the tank will hold.

Someone already knows what a bucket of corn weighs. I’m guessing 40ish.

                      870lbs.
Formula for area of a circle is Pi*R^2. You calculated R*Pi^2. Makes a big difference in area and volume.

Our volume of a cylinder calculator takes height and radius to instantly calculate your cylinder's volume.
