I did the same thing to mine, including welding up a nice gate ramp for the back end.... A year later, it was stolen out of my driveway with a $600.00 full box of stone on it!!! sickening

Wired the lights and got the floor in. Rain slowed me down this week. Have a bad ground somewhere, have to figure it out tomorrow.

      Should finish everything up tomorrow.

solder & heat shrink the wiring. This little connectors will give ya fits in the future. They will get brittle, crack, trap moisture, become loose, etc.

Those little connectors are the devil. They suck! You'll get way better connections using stakons and heat shrink. I bought a trailer used about ten years ago with those connectors and they will wear you out troubleshooting.

            Refurb looking good though.

Nice work. I agree with changing those dang connectors. Especially being exposed to the elements.

Yeah I hate them, I was looking for alternatives but didn't really know any. I used heat shrink tubing and connectors on everything else. Those are supposed to be the weatherproof ones lol.

I'll have to check it out.

Couldn't find anything that looked like it would work.

Sta-kon is just a brand name, made by Thomas & Betts. They make all kinds of connectors, butt-splices and the like.

Thanks. Gonna try to finish everything up today.

Replaced bearings in one hub last night.

You might want to put the wiring in some small gray electrical conduit down the lenght of the trailer and over to the tail lights. That way if you take it through the fields the weeds and such won't rip the wiring loose.

Yep, you've done too good of a job to have wiring like that. Give it some more thought.
