Put the wheels and tires on it this morning and took a couple of quick pics. Will be a few days probably before I can begin working on it again. I have to cut the propane tank and get the fittings welded up before I take it to be sandblasted. In the meantime I'll make the firebox and do a little bowhunting in between.....

Awesome. Wish I had the skills to piddle with these things. One our son strikes out on his own after high school/college, I will have A LOT of free time. Not looking forward to it, but been thinking of things to do once it gets here. He is taking welding in school, so I am convincing the war department that HE needs a welder and other supplies to be able to practice and get good at it.

With him taking the classes, he can teach me what to do and once on his own, I will have all the tools and equipment I need. It is just way easier to get her to buy things for him than me .

Coming along very nicely. A trailer's somewhere on my "one of these days" project list!

How are you welding it? MIG? Flux-core?

It's been a little while since I had the chance to work on the project but this evening by I got the 3/16" plate cut and stitched up for the firebox. Going to pick up the bullet hinges tomorrow and hang the door on it and cut the fresh air vents in the left and right sides of the firebox. Maybe middle of the week I'll cut the propane tank I'm going to use for the pit....

Got the door framed out with with angle iron, bullet hinges lined up and welded out. Also put the fresh air vents on both sides of the firebox. May get around to cutting the propane tank tomorrow
