I'm sure It's going to be a long process full of blood, sweat, tears, beers and swearing but in the end it'll all be worth it.
It's a 1956 GMC 100 series pick up. It's all original with a sb 316. This truck was bought by my great-grandfather and has been in our family for four generations now. When I was a kid I used to spend the summer with my grandparents working at our family farm. We would use this truck to haul cattle from Floresville to union stockyards in San Antonio.
My grandpa passed away in July and since then we have been cleaning out his house and the barns. Here's a a pic of it buried in the barn
I finally got it dug out and over to my house.
After cleaning the carb, replacing a few fuel lines and setting the points it was up and running. It has a few cancer spots in the normal areas like lower doors and front fenders but all in all its in pretty good shape.
