Day 9. More fat and grease on the surface and the water is still very dirty.



There is one full aoudad skull, that partial aoudad skull (that started this thread), a lion and a lioness skull in here.

I change it every time I skim the grease off the top.
There's so much crap in the skulls it gets dirty like that, overnight.
In 24 hours there's already more grease floating.

Thanks Kevin! I really enjoyed doing my boys hogs and bucks from this last year and saved quite a bit of coin with your help. I'm definitely no pro but they turned out pretty good. Enjoy walking in their room and seeing them a little more knowing we did it ourself!

Day 14.
Water is still getting dirty and grease floating.

I'll take some pictures of the skull after I drain it for another water change.

This is why you cant do a 2-3 day euro mount.....Might look good at first but the grease will come out eventually

I've said this many times, this is a very slow process, if you want to do it right.

In my first post I said it could take 6 or more weeks. As dirty as the water is it may take longer than that.

I added the other skulls but they were cleaner than the partial aoudad that started this, so that aoudad is still the driving factor. The gunk is coming from 4 skulls though so keep that in mind when you look at the pictures of the water.

If you were doing a single skull in a bucket though, your results would be similar.
