2 new litters born this morning. We tried a new buck with one of the rabbits and had a smaller litter of six. We usually have a lot more than that. But they aren't as potent when they're youngsters.
The other doe appears to have nine.
They made some nice nests for the cooler weather.

16 would last me a little while. Maybe till the next litters are born. But I gotta get a bigger place before I can take rabbit and quail raising on. In the meantime, I'll just watch Bobby and his wife do thier thing.

Been busy today. 34 lbs of deer/pork sausage ground, mixed, stuffed. Half is Jap n cheese. Half regular.
Going to cold smoke it tomorrow night at @doug 's house.

The next phase has started. Less than a year to retirement.
The bulldozer just started clearing the front half of the property. We have a creek that roughly bisects the property diagonally. Everything on the near side of the creek will be cleared and pushed into burn piles except for the hardwoods and select pines. Lots of yaupon is going to its grave and that makes me a happy man.
Next step is house plans. But the price of all things constructions may have us living in a wall tent!
Area to the left of the creek is what is being cleared right now.
