Looks like things are set for me and a buddy to go up tomorrow and wire up the cabin and also get it ready for a mini-split AC system that Airehead is going to install soon. Can't wait.
After going cabin Chew you won't even remember that camper
Got everything dine except tying in new panel on cabin to the existing breaker box. Forgot to take pics after all plugs , switches, fixtures put in. Got about 9 outlets inside, 3 outside, outside light over deck, water heater and AC wires ready to go, AC disconnect, and more. Long day yesterday.
Hopefully can finish up soon and then start on plumbing.
Thanks guys! Put in several hours today working on our section of the private road and putting in some insulation in the cabin. Got most of the outlets and switches done with a few other things. Still haven't tied the new breaker box on the cabin into the main power. Should be another week or two. Got a hunt coming up thurs-sat so won't get to go up there.
Insulation was put in random pattern. Couldn't do the corners because I have to frame them out to make a true 90 corner to attach the walls properly. Need a few more rolls to finish up.
Here's a short video I made for my wife to show her where the outlets, switches, lights will be:
Had about 50 tons of 1"-3" steel slag brought in Friday. Spent a few hours spreading it out, filling in low spots, and trying to put a crown on the road. I probably need a few more loads to do it right but it looks 100% better and much smoother.
Here's a short video of the piles the truck left me to work with. He was supposed to spread it out evenly down the road but had some technical difficulties with his dump trailer.
Driving me crazy not to get up there and finish up some stuff. Hopefully will finish electric and insulation and possibly the paneling/walls in a few weeks. Taking a break for a trip to Big Oak Bowhunting tomorrow through saturday with some TBH'ers. Hopefully come back with some fresh protein.
Been slowly chipping away at the to do list on the cabin. Finished up some wall insulation (except the bathroom). Put some R-3 panels on the ceiling. Built an outside cabinet for the water heater. Riding mower is still out of commission. So push mowed for a couple hours. Mary and abbie did some painting but i forgot to get pics.
