My grandson Korbin scored on a very nice buck this evening . His 2nd deer and first buck. Turned out to be a 10 pt (8 mainframe with a split brow and a crab claw). Very happy for him and so proud that it came off our little 21 acre place. He was sitting with my son, Jonathon, and the buck came out right at dark. I had told him to shoot anything that got Korbin excited (and was legal in Leon County). I don't get very many decent bucks here, but Korbin smoked this one with my APR 7mm08. Not much blood (bullet punched through him at 67 yards and didn't open up). I put my trusty dog, Daisy the Catahoula, on the trail and she found him quickly at about 90 yards from the shot. Good time with a good kid and great grandkid that was so appreciative.
