I like the culvert idea but I'm betting wife is gonna want a "pretty bridge". =)

if that's the lab in the creek it looks like the cross boards are 2x12's in size and i can count 20 of them.... 11.5" times 20 is closer to 20 foot of bridge
        2x10 (9.5) then 16 foot across
        if it's 2x8's (7.5") then it's down to 12-14 feet across

a "pretty" bridge is going to be around 600-1K (using cedar prices) from what i threw together off home depot pricing.
a good Jan.-April project.... let me know if you want help

Now that's a different story. The woman was never listed in the design requirements.

Maybe put some big culverts in it.

Thanks Steve. Makes a lot of sense. Need to get past a few hurdles to close and then I will be starting on projects. Got two small cabins to remake into bunk houses and storage, get my camper set up, and a few minor things. Then the fun stuff!

I had one of those at one point.......A creek with water in it.

Following as I need ideas for a bridge myself.

And good luck with the close on this one...

If you go with something earthen, take the chance to build up a small **** and raise the culvert height to make a small tank/pond.

Yessir. The water is beautiful. Going to at least create a swimming hole for those hot days of working. You can see how pretty the water is:

Ducks, deer, and hogs don't care if the water is clear or not.

Nope. But me and mamma do. When the zombies come it will be better to drink.

Popular thing to do around our neck of the woods is to find and old flat railroad car or a old flat 18-wheeler trailer and make it a bridge.

This. Or buy some big mud grips and just plow thru the middle of that creek.
