I made one with a corona. But had the string too high. I tried to put the sting lower and try again but it just broke apart. Working on second corona now

I was in the middle of trying this, and my wife says "oh I saw that on pinterest". Ruined it for me.

Good luck with the rope. Its not that easy. I have a glass cutter specifically for bottles and its still tough. I'm talking maybe 20% success if that. I do have a sweet glass from a rum bottle. Captn morgan with a pirate ship in the glass. Pics to follow.

Kind of hard to see with glass. Its the perfect size for a good rum and coke.

I also made a set of 3 tea light holders out of beer bottles, for mothers day , no pics though. Cut the neck off the bottle. Glue the mouth area to the bottom of the bottle. Bottle portions were 3 different heights.

Any pics of said jig Casey? That looks like a really smooth cut. I have been wanting to do this, but i just dont see a clean straight cut with the string. Novelty yes, useful no.

After you cut it you can sand it straight. One suggestion that was made in the comments on the video was to tape down a piece of sandpaper to a flat surface and sand the glass flat by moving it in a figure 8 pattern.
