My first DIY project for hunting...

I've seen a few other designs of this, but decided to do one on my own and in my own way. I am trying to do a hay bale blind and know I prolly didn't do the smart thing by going with wood, but since I'm not a great welder it'll have to do. I made a base that is 8'x4'. I then took 20 ft if PVC and cut it according to what was about the right size. I did all three pieces of PVC the same length and added to 45 degree bends on both ends with a joint piece in the middle to join both ends and tacked the PVC to the base. I originally put 2 8 ft long pieces of emt pipe and tire wired them to the PVC to space them out. I them added the 2x4 support in the middle. I then took a sheet of ply wood and marked the pipe onto the sheet and cut it out with a jig saw. I only had 2 sheets of plywood. But I did get the door cut out on the right side today, and plan to put more plywood on tomorrow, along with the cow panelling and a tarp. I also need to Thompson water seal all the wood (accidentally got the wrong wood, this is due to my inexperience with carpentry). I do electrical, but haven't really been around carpentry too much. I'm just trying to do the best I can. Hopefully after tomorrow all I lack is to give it the hay look, and by the way, anyone have any idea on how I can give it that look? Anyways here's what I have accomplished. I'll try to keep everyone updated, but since I'm a college student, I only get to work on it on the weekends.

You can put chicken wire over your tarp with hay stuffed under to give it more of a hay bale look.
Just a word of warning, if you have cows they will eat the hay and possibly rip your tarp.

So after a trip to lowes this morning, I've got the outer walls finished and I'm about to start putting paneling on. Then trapping. I should have everything except straw to finish today.

Looking good. Our neighbor bales every year around start of bow season. The deer always change there pattern and stay away from them. Bet if I made one of these they would get used to it.

I just got done doing the panelling. All I really lack is putting the tarp and chicken wire on and the straw. I also need to figure out what I'm gonna do for doors and windows, but that will be opinionated between me and my step dad which isn't home yet. I would like to do 2 long windows on each side, but it's gonna take discussing. But anyways, I should have the tarp on shortly

Well you can't see much, but I have most of it tarp'd. Need to go get some more though. And got the windows cut out, but don't have pictures. The rest will get done next weekend. And I agree, I like that look as well.

No, it's a great blind you can't see the 2 hunters sitting inside with their bows drawn

Think about how to keep critters from crawling into it and then you have to deal with that.

Got it set up this evening and stuffed just before dark. I made the mistake of wrapping the chicken wire a little too tight, so stuffing was a pain in the buttocks. But here's what she looks like, sorry for the blurry picks.
