Thanks! I painted it black and set it out Friday night and put up a camera. I'll give it a few more days for them to find. Hopefully my 10 point will show up so I can have some better pics of him.
Silent Assassin - that sucks man, especially when it was friend! You know what they say, what goes around, comes around!

That is pretty neat....I saw some similar on YouTube that I was gonna make. I need about 3. What did the price run?

I already had the 5 gallon bucket and the bolts, washers and nuts. Everything else all together cost about $26 but "m sure you could get it cheaper at Home Depot or Lowe's. I live in a small town and bought it at the local lumber yard. The closet Wal Mart is about 45 miles away and the closest Home Depot or Lowe's is over 100 miles away so inflation probably got me a little!

I made something similar last year, I put a trace mineral salt concoction in it. The deer were hitting it hard, but the the hogs found it and then I found it in pieces.

Should work like a champ. Just remember to hang it high enough that the pigs can't get to it.

Maybe he should put in a pump.

I inherited 3/4 of those gas cans from my Granny. You never when you'll need a gas can for something! Speaking of gas cans I made a gas tank out of one of those pump sprayers that you spray your yard with or use for pesticide. I need a tank for a little outboard boat motor and those tanks have to be pressurized in order to get fuel to the carb. Worked out great. All I had to do was give it a pump or two.
