You are probably right, but these do have a 2 year warranty. The others do not have any type of warranty.

Just for you Michael - This was the last group of pigs we trapped - this is when my switch broke. The big light colored pig was 184 pounds. That's my 223 round in between his dew claws. My son shot him 4 times (once in the jaw, once in the front leg) with his 223 and I brought him down with my shot. And before I dropped the gate he was outside, jumping out of the way of a big white and black spotted one.

The short answer lady is yes, you should be able to just replace the reset switch. The only trouble might be finding the right replacement.
