I will probably be wrapping mine around a tree, I have to have a dig permit to drive a T-post into the ground. Sounds like a lot of work just for a post... Is it better to use chain or cable around a tree?

I have used both with success. I like the chain if I'm trying to stalk up within bow range because it makes more noise to cover my clumsy approach. I used a smaller diameter cable and they are kinking it all up. Next time I'll try thicker cable to see if it can be avoided. They do scar up the tree pretty good, so find one you don't mind damaging.

They work great just don't forget the swivel. I have one to repair because I didn't put the swivel on it.

I guess I didn't pick up on it but how many holes do you drill and what size of hole?

My holes are 5/8 inch drilled drilled with a paddle bit. I put 12 holes in a 6 foot pipe and they can empty it in about 2 hours of nonstop rolling.

We just put one out a few months ago. It works well. In fact, it needs to be refilled.

i used 8 holes that were 1/2" and it would be empty within a week. i taped up 4 holes leaving 4 open and it would last 2 weeks. them pigs are dedicated.

I have 3-4 half inch holes in mine. My pigs are so smart they just take the cap off now

Uh-oh! Keep those edjumacated piggies away from my place! It's bad enough that they empty mine in a night. If they could do it in a few minutes it would get expensive!

Here in Hawaii, We have stupid hogs, they smell the tube, but don't knock it around. they walk over it. I was amazed when I watched them walk away, after eating all the corn from the feeder.
Next they will want their corn on plates or something..
