      You can always tie a cedar branch to it to catch the wind. I have seen that done with really good success..

        we sued to make em with a 5 gallon bucket, coat hanger and beer can. not the best in the world but effective. no need to do that now, you can pick up one at academy or most any walmart that carries deer hunting stuff. just take and attach some tin to the ball at the end of the stick.

            The best bump feeder is actually a toilet plunger. drill a small hole through the handle right below the rubber section and insert a 3" drywall screw. set the plunger in the feeder, and the screw stops the neck of the plunger from plugging the hole. Spray the handle with acorn rage spray. Our deer figured it out first night. Each bump drops about half a cup of corn.
