Please God help us that if we're talking about new third party here that it will be led by people with far greater intelligence, moral integrity and leadership qualities than the likes of Boebert, Getz, etc.
We already knew your opinion, no need to share it again. We got it.
Nope. But who on the Republican side is going to trust any of the idiots to vote with them when they have the chance to actually do something? Better yet, say the 20 idiots manage to win and the precedent it would set. What’s going to stop them from torpedoing any proposed legislation that is not strong enough in their feeble minds?
Do you honestly believe the 20 folks who are actually standing up against the establishment would vote with the Democrats? Seriously? That ain't gonna happen. If any Republicans vote with the Dems, it would be some of the swamp rats. And McCarthy, as Speaker, will do that more than once. He'll work to keep real positive change from happening, just like a Democrat Speaker would.
I am definitely thinking about the precedent it will set if they are able to defeat McCarthy. It would be the best thing that's happened in our national politics in a long time. Empowering the people who actually care about the Constitution would be glorious.

First, let me acknowledge that I appreciate that you make an honest argument for what you think and and why. And I realize you probably don’t give a rat’s rear end that I do.
I know change is needed. I just don’t think it’s going to happen this way. While I don’t think the 20 would vote with Dems, I think they would withhold support of votes where they didn’t get everything they wanted which would lead to us losing ground where we could gain ground.
Had/if the group had stated clearly what they were trying to do and who they wanted instead, I might feel differently.
Says who, the leader of his own alternate reality? Congrats. Glad you appreciate.
If you think there is some common reality, I encourage you to listen to Jordan Pederson.
Everyone creates their own reality. It is the sum of each individuals experiences as they proceed through life. This is why some people can be terrified of spiders, while others will climb the tallest mountains to chase goats.
Thankfully, this makes everyone different, and being capable of understanding that difference, even if you don't accept it, is key to being a functional member of polite society.

Jeepers dude. The operative word in your passive aggressive post (as most of yours are to anything I post) was “we” and that’s what I was responding to.

It sounds like you trust McCarthy to work for our best interests. If you're right about him and I'm wrong about him, then clearly your take on all of this has merit.

I don't trust McCarthy at all though.
Actually, I’m not a fan. But in the absence of something more specific from the 20, I trust the 91% a lot more. I know they all want to squash the other side more than they want to squash one of their own.
