So is there a point when Hakeem the dream Jeffries can simply take over due to lack of a new speaker?

Straight up let everyone know McCarthy had Trump call them to vote for McCarthy. She said it needs to be the other way around. Trump needs to call McCarthy and tell him to step down.

      Gloves are off.

Gotta love her, she has a big brass set and showing them. I am glad she is calling them out for ganging up on them. Trump just stepped in a pile if he actually called them.

completely agree, we have to change the way things run in Washington and not be afraid. McCarthy won't do anything to push a conservative agenda.

That was from one of the members mouth....so I was told. I've searched for the interview but can't find it.
If that is true, I all FOR IT as I have said BEFORE.
However, I did ask you for your sources. No reply yet. I am open to changing my mind if there is proof, beyond what their opposition SAYS, of them changing the goal post.
Got any good sources? not Fox and friends, not CNN.
got that piece of paper with 30 new requests/demands?

Sounds like they want someone open to discussion of major issues.
Do your own research. You're not going to believe anything anyone who disagrees with you thinks or points you to anyway.

Boebert what specifically asked what she / they put forward that MM wouldn't agree to and instead made the broad-based claims you reference above. Those claims have been repeatedly refuted and are actually in the plan that was laid out and discussed in the Republican conference.

If you were to take her and that group's claims as being true, then you believe that the 91% are against stopping funding of securing the border, stopping the IRS agent hirings, etc. That is simply not fact.

None of those folks pushing against MM have, at least to date, specifically stated what MM actually refused to agree to that they can't live with.

I'm just saying that if you're going to engage in such open warfare against the new speaker, you should be able to voice exactly what it is he represents that you refuse to accept as well as who you want instead.

They don't like him. It is personal. They should be honest enough to just say that out loud in public and make their case honestly as to why. Not sticking it in the faces of every fellow Republican up there who is chomping at the bits to get started undoing whatever they can that was done under the Dem majority.

got it, you don't have any proof

              making assumptions about my decisions....hmmmm

Not unless there were enough members absent or voted "present". It's a majority present and voting. If something were to happen and 10 republicans couldn't make it in, Jefferies could become SOH.

No panic here over this but it's very discouraging because this shows just how weak and out of tune the republicans are and its happening for the world to see.
Meanwhile the democrats are in lock step. All on the same mission..

Never show your enemies your weakness. The democrats are slobbering like a pack of rabid hyenas right now..

Just as the Republicans were when the Mob came into Demonrats party.
Republicans were saying the Democrat party was dead....kaput.
See where we are now, under Mob rule.

It shows how swampy most of the Republicans are. Surely that isn't news to anyone who's been paying attention at all for the last few years. And it shows how few there are that are actually willing to stand up for what the people that elect them want.

If you're worried about the Dems or the media saying bad things about the Republican party because they're fighting over the Speakership, I can only ask, "Why?". Those folks aren't going to say good things about the Republicans for any reason. All they do is criticize. Who cares?

Bingo...this is a win for "we the people"

WHY anyone would want to keep the status quo is beyond me...unless they align with the democratic party.

                                ^^^ this

If you’re in distress about the contentious Speaker voting process, you’re not ready to fight for the wholesale changes we need in the Republican party.

And **** sure not ready for the fight on border security, balanced budget, etc.
