Who was at the capitol on January 6?

There was someone on TBH who said they were going. It may be on one of the threads that were deleted but it was there.

Regardless what you want to call it or how the Jan 6 committee hearings are going, it was grossly irresponsible of then President Trump. It is also pretty obvious his hope, if not intent, was for the certification to be stalled or overturned. No one is even talking about the fake electors.

And if folks are OK with it, then why complain about all the crazy Seattle rioting. Seems anymore like we're offended by everything the left does but easily justify the same actions in reverse. What precedent is set by Jan 6 when a subset of either party chooses to see what they believe instead of believing what they say?

My research reflects that Ryan is a decent and good family man. He and Harkrider have done good voluntary service to the victims of the Louisiana hurricane(s). I believe that they and others simply got caught up in the emotion and events of the day and didn't stop short of breaking the law. Sadly, they and their families will pay for it. He stated that he stood for violence! I am sure he regrets his actions.

I have not kept up with the trial and don't plan on it.

I'll admit I thought that was where it was headed myself and it is clearly self serving for the Dems. There is just too much to ignore though in how serious it was and at a minimum, Trump's support of what was actually happening. And if you just read the messages sent by Hannity, Ingraham, his kids, others, you can tell they knew how serious it was at the time.

Once again, I did not start this thread to argue over the various points, and I am not going to do your searching for video proof. There are plenty of videos out there evidencing the breeching of the capitol and the police being attacked...140 police were injured. I have also seen the videos where some of the police allowed the crowd to go in certain sections of the capitol. They were overwhelmed. I also realize that, as large as the crowd was, anyone in the back would not know what was going on in the front or inside the building. Nevertheless, if some of you are denying that there was an insurrection and riot with the crowd overtaking some of the police, then you have your head in the sand!

As for guns, who knows how many were carried that day. Fortunately, the ones who had them didn't use them, but the guy from Longview (Ryan Nichols) admitted he had brought several weapons but said he did not take them to the capitol. He attacked the police with flag poles. His buddy, Alex Harkrider, however had a tomahawk type axe and used it to break windows out of the capitol to allow access. Video shows him doing it and also shows Nichols admitting that he "stands for violence."

I have "no angle" here...just trying to remember who it was that said they had their tickets and were going. I would like to hear their story. Still, if they weren't in the front of the crowd or in the capitol, they may not have seen any violence. You, who deny that there was violence, are denying the simple truth. Facts are facts.

In the words of RR I'll call BS10 on this. Wanting to hear their story if they went....

What part of investigation are you having trouble understanding? Trials have counter testimony, investigations are done to see if there is basis for charges being brought and then a trial maybe.
Do you really think Trump would answer the questions they would ask him under oath???

It is time to acknowledge the far-right wing variant of TDS. Just like the far left who believe what suits them/ignore what doesn’t and justifies what there is just no way to defend on the basis of “look what the other side did/does”.

The one person in the best position to stop what happened on January 6 was the then president of the US. If he didn't support what was happening, he could have talked at least the majority of those people down. He chose to do nothing and it sure sounded at times like he was actually encouraging them.
