Why not? It's an act of God that no one could see coming or possibly prepare for, right?

He went full on big government tyrannical control when COVID hit. He shut down businesses, issued mask mandates, and refused to give the citizens, through our legislature, a say in the matters. And then, when it became campaign season for the next election, he started pandering and pretending that he wasn't a big government tyrant by issuing bull**** meaningless orders like this one. Everyone who's been paying attention sees through his crap at this point. He's a fake conservative. Nothing but a big government establishment corrupt RINO. He deserves to lose the nomination in the upcoming Republican primary. We need a real conservative as our next governor.

      Other than that, he's great.

I wonder where he plans on getting all this hay ? I have just enough for my cattle as it is. Next year hay prices will be $100.00 A bale.

If you were so prepared why were you whining about your utility company warning of possible outages. Or do you just like to complain and speculate about things you know nothing about.

I doubt there is a rancher in this state that needs hay. People with cows, probably most of ‘em.

Pandering for votes. Agriculture welfare at its best, there’s no such thing as free. Most ranchers are prepared and proud, I doubt many need hay or are willing to take it from the government.

While I agree on everything about Abbot. Who is this real conservative going to be? The Republicans have gone the way of just being politicians to me. They gave in on the PPP and have done zero to stand up against Covid. Right now they are sitting quietly doing nothing and plan on running against Bidens bad 2 years to date. That is not doing anything for me, My community or my state. Even Dan Crenshaw has gone crazy with BS the last few months.

Some of these hay numbers sound like the medical field. Primarily treating a symptom instead of the cause. I would understand if we were in an exceptional drought but even then, you have to have a contingency plan of when to get rid of animals instead of pouring your pockets out on hay.

He is Texas' John McCain or Mitt Romney.
Covid scared the hell out of everybody, except some who think they know everything about everything. It still scares the hell out of me because I got it in December of ‘20 and I’m not completely over it. Trump was scared into making the “vaccines” without the usual trials and recommended them also. He stood side by side with Fauci and preached to us about crap that nobody could prove or disprove. You gotta give me more than that to keep me from voting for either one of them.

Yep. Crenshaw and most Republicans are no better than Abbott.

Either West or Huffines would be an improvement over Abbott. I'm voting for West, but I'll vote for whoever ends up in a runoff against Abbott - even if it was the comedian dude. Abbott needs to go, regardless of how imperfect his replacement may be. He sold us out. He shouldn't be rewarded for that.

That’s funny. Free hay. Government sending out money everywhere for having children that you can’t afford to pay for. Food stamps out the butt. Paying utilities for low income people. Illegals get free everything. And Texans get hay!! Gotta love it.

And then have to restock with whatever cows at whatever price next year. If you are a cattle rancher, you have to have good mama cows.

Hay was cheap this summer. Wish I had doubled my order.

                            I agree.
We can’t let the ones that caused the problems try to fix them.
We have a disaster now, just think!

I made a surplus of hay, clean, well fertilized coastal/ tifton
I advertised for $60/roll and didn’t sell 1, but I’m glad I didn’t now , I have plenty for next year if things keep going south.

Who gives a shiat why? If you need it maybe you’ll get some, if you don’t Zip it! Lol
It’s ALL political, everybody does something for a reason. We all play politics even if it’s just within our family, well except maybe a hermit bachelor.
Lots of people died from COVID, and possibly many more if they didn’t put things in place. If they didn’t put mandates and lock things down and 5x as many had died, then people would still play the blame game.
