Matthew McConaughey would whip Abbot’s asp in an election. I would be a landslide. I have some disagreements with him but he isn’t a wack job and he has name recognition. He’s probably as close as you can come to a centrist Democrat nowadays.

I think he has enough money though that he doesn’t need the headache. I went to high school with him. He’s a good guy.

Like it or not our country is becoming more liberal/left. The question is only how far is it going and how fast. Abortion will remain legal, gays will get married, illegal immigrants will get to stay here, we are going to lose our 2nd Amendment rights.

In reality true classical liberalism isn’t a bad thing. The left has corrupted liberalism though….and it’s here to stay.

Can anyone honestly say with a straight face that the country has gotten more conservative over the last 30 years. Bill Clinton was an unmitigated disaster with regards to Conservative principles but the Democratic party now would run him out of town on a rail and lump him in with DJT as a white supremacist Neo-Nazi.

We can still fight but things will change. If it makes me a pessimist to understand that, so be it. Did ya'll think in 1980 that it would ever be accepted that a man could marry another man or that a guy could call himself a girl and compete against them in sports? How about being fired or prevented from traveling unless you get a government mandate shot?.....yet here we are.
