Like most of you, I only know what I read in that article. I read it quick and didn't see anything about breaking and entering, and I don't know enough about the law to know the specifics about that, BUT, if there was no damage done to the school or school property, I don't see any harm done.
I do love the fact that the valedictorian and salutatorian were involved as well. Most of the time, the smart kids are too scared to have any fun and let loose. In 10 years, all these kids will say that high school was a breeze, compared to life, but right now, it's their greatest accomplishment, and they deserve to celebrate a little. No one was hurt, no property seemed to be damaged ... lighten up, Frances ... and bklem (unless you're going to tell us the "rest of the story").

Dad: "He was down at the island having fun or home sick in bed...I'm good with either one."

Breaking into the school means they’re on their own though. That’s not a good move.

Another Artos high school event goes like this---
VP at high school to me Artos dad: " Mr. Sr Artos your son is leaving school every day at lunch and as you know we have a closed campus."
Me Artos Dad: " Mr. VP that's your problem not mine. Besides that Artos tells me the cafeteria food at school sucks."

Yup...had lunch with the football coaches at least once a week. They also knew I had a shotty & a flat of shells during bird season in the bronco which would get me expelled / jail time today.
Funny thing was that I somehow ended having PE my SR year even tho I was in football workout 2nd period & the baseball coach told me I didn't have check in for that class...so, I had 2 hours for lunch!!
I miss the 80's...
