Similar story up here in Oklahoma. Evidently schools have no sense of humor anymore.

If no school property was destroyed then make them clean it up. If so then they deserve what they get. JMO!

This is why nerds become administrators, and also why they were nerds.

And yet, I’ve read multiple threads on here saying schools have gotten too soft and don’t hold kids accountable. Can’t win for losing.

Instead of being vague about it how about just come out with it? Why this need to speak in code? If the kids did something horrific then come on out and state it.

If one of the center two tines of a fork is missing, is it a spike?

and lives in Comfort. I'm going to guess he's a district employee and isn't going to post away on the internet about the specifics.

Yeah well, they don’t really hold them accountable for actually learning, much of the time.

I’m afraid you and I probably wouldn’t be a good match around the campfire.

My wife is a teacher, I understand it’s a no win for teachers. I think kids could be held a little more accountable in the class room, and also extended a little leash for harmless pranks after the work is done. That’s all. And I don’t know anything about this situation that’s not in that link.

Breaking into the school means they’re on their own though. That’s not a good move.

Me: "Hey Dad, tomorrow is Sr RGV skip day & anybody who is anybody is heading down to the island tomorrow...you will likely get a call."

                          Dad: "K..."

VP: "Mr. Sr Artos, We feel your son participated in an orchestrated valley wide skip day, do you know where your son was yesterday"??

Dad: "He was down at the island having fun or home sick in bed...I'm good with either one."
