      There are poor white folk? Say it aint so.

      When you grow up poor, you dont really understand you are poor because everyone around you is in the same boat. I guess when I was in high school is when I saw what the rich kids had. Never felt like taking what was theirs but sure did motivate me to have better stuff when I got out on my own. Land of opportunity was all I saw.

            Officials in Marin County, California have launched a UBI program in the county designed to give $1,000 a month to 125 qualifying residents for two years in partnership with the Marin Community Foundation.

              Except Oakland can’t afford this. Therefore the city risks bankruptcy, then what? California is hemorrhaging tax base daily. They won’t be able to afford it, then what? We (the collective rest of the tax paying US) by will get to contribute to it .
