So will the new name make a difference in the school system performance?

My point is shouldn’t we focus our money, resources & efforts to the things that matter & truly make a difference in a school system?

Why not invest time in a boys & girls club mentoring a student to help shape a young man or woman’s future? Some local churches are adopting schools to help invest in these young kids lives.
If you truly want to see change in society & bring unity there are better ways to go about it and add value to a school system
What a waste of dollars that could have been better allocated & utilized

Man, I went to WM B. Travis High School in Austin. It was mostly minority when I went there and now is likely 94.33% minority. Still the Travis "Rebels" and I have no idea how they made it this long. Heck, we even had a black dude run with a Confederate flag each time we scored. :-)

Yea i think it was in 2018 or something like that. One poster said its amazing how all this comes about while trump is president which i agree.. Then several said its been going on for years. Funny i dont remember any of this while Obama was king.

200-400k to change a name is far past stupid. Lots of $$ in a few people's pockets.
