Mask violations anyone?

No po po issue. But, I have been thanked for wearing them in various places of business.
Restaurants, cleaners, barber shop, etc.....

I don’t believe a LEO can do anything for someone not wearing a mask because it is not a “law”, only an executive order. However, a business can keep you from entering their establishment without a mask and (I believe) they can have you arrested for trespassing if you enter without a mask.

I dont care if anyone wears one. We have to at work and some customers get bitchy about it but most dont. I honestly think if you are gonna get the virus your gonna get it.

Only way to not be exposed is to stay in your house for 6 months or wear a full body suit. Neither are realistic.

They can’t have you arrested for just entering. They have to ask you to leave and you refuse before it becomes trespassing.

The security lady, working our lobby told me I needed a mask, as I was exiting the building yesterday. 40' from the elevator to the door, and only she and I in the lobby.

I told her we're OK as long as she stays 6' away from me!

The police aren't using this as a reason to contact someone. But they are required to respond to the 911 call that someone has made about it. I suspect most officers will just inform the person why they are there and maybe just inform them of the executive order.

Texas Government Code Chapter 418 Emergency Management says that in a declared disaster, an executive order is a law during the duration of the disaster. A health crisis is defined in that chapter as a disaster.

So yes, an executive order is a criminal law as passed by the legislature.
