Had this happened a decade back I would say we will buckle down and be better for it in the near future. I am not so sure anymore. Lots of people have grown too dependent on the government to provide everything for them. This "pandemic" has shown that lots of peeps are willing to sacrifice their rights too easily. Which again leads to dependence on the folks in Washington. Sad & scary but it's where we are as a nation at this time IMHO.
Agreed. Many so called independent conservative men are begging for corporate welfare and other handouts.

My life hasn’t changed a bit. Other than going out to eat. Nothing else closed around here and it’s been business as normal. I quit watching the news a month or two ago. Figured if I get I get it.

I never changed a thing, normal will return when people turn off the TV and go to work.

Hope so. I miss being employed.

As for some of the details you’ve mentioned, I bet some stick.

I have been working from home for years, It started out of necessity and continued because it is more efficient. I think others and their employers will come to this realization the same way I did 15 years ago. If that is the case the traffic jams should be less going forward. I think the education system at some levels will continue the movement towards remote learning at an accelerated pace.

Much like the early, middle, and current stages of this fustercluck...the aftermath will be overblown as well. I heard the local sports talk cowards all last week preaching doom and gloom.

I'm going to eat enchiladas, and drink shiners, as soon as they open the doors to the local joint!

The millenial takes a lot of grief these days, some warranted, some not. But I've been going about my life pretty much according to my normal routine. I'm out and about all day, fast food, home depot, grocery stores, etc. And I have to tell you, the millenials have been out doing their jobs, making sure a bunch of you whiney old farts have groceries and other things avialable. They're numbers far outweigh other age groups in a lot of the workforce right now. I have heard far more whining from the older sector than from the millenials...they are just working and putting up with all the bitching from the old farts.
