Whats funny is my 78 year old grandma has more balls than some of the grown men on here. My mom called her when all of this started and told her she should stay home we would bring her whatever she needed ect. She politely said thanks for your concern but i will do as I **** well please just like i have for 70 plus years. Lol

Shes been going to the grocery store coming to see her grandbabies and just plain living.

I'm lucky to have a job (blessed!). There's a lot of people out there right now not so lucky starting off in life and losing their jobs. Very easy for someone to say lets wait it out little longer with a cabinet full of food. I think the private sector is way smarter than public sector and can make their own decisions when to open up, let em. My mom is 85 and smart enough to stay home. Let people drive their own destiny.

I think the intention of flattening the curve was really more for the hospitals. We literally had no process in place, and just knew the other countries had severe complications.

I think now we have enough hospitals and processes in place to filter the infected and the normal day healthcare issues.

As far as Texas goes I think a close down is good - but I almost think we closed down too early. Since Texas is so spread out, major cities will obviously be hot spots. But to spread to the rest of Texas it will take time.

Like mentioned before - at this point we are really just prolonging the inevitable. If we still practice safe precautions I think it would be wise to open up the state of Texas.

As of May 1st, restaurants, movie theaters and some other businesses can reopen. But can only have 25% maximum capacity. Guess it is better than before but still bs to me.

Still no barber shops, salons, gyms or bars. Abbot said hopefully mid May.

At least it is a start. As seen in grocery stores and Home Depot when the doors are open they will open and do business

I'd hate to be in any politicians shoes during all this crap. You're ****ed if you do and ****ed if you don't.. I honestly think he's skeptical of it all and would like to open the doors wide, but like I said before....

He's definitely going to make people mad no matter what he does. But, rather than trying to find some squishy middle ground that only makes everybody mad, he would do better to just do what he knows is right and live with it. You can't please everybody, no matter what. And you can't please anybody with this kind of weak leadership. He needs to lead by getting government out of the way. The constitution still applies, whether there's a virus going around or not. And individual responsibility is still a thing - or at least it should be.
