HEB - shopping and empty shelves

I usually go to the Kroger by me because the "better" service at HEB isn't worth fighting the crowds. Lately Kroger has had everything besides tp, paper towels, and disinfectants. This is just outside 610 in the close in suburbs. Lots of stores open. Not many people out. They seem to be catching up except for the TP hoarders. Farther out where 1 store serves the whole hood, or in small towns, it's been harder to find stuff.

This is assuming the store you shop at, has a Curbside dept.
It's not a big city - we have one HEB.

And if some products labeled HEB are outsourced can the provider sell that same product to everyone with different labels? Just curious.

So has anyone nailed down what happened at the beginning of covid era that is still causing shortages of products?
We are bound to have members here who sell certain products. What exactly changed to make companies not be able to keep up with demand? In the past with every shortage or rise in demand companies increased supply (capitalism). Now we just stay short of everything?

I worked for one of the largest food manufacturers in the world up until last year. The shortage is due to labor shortages in plants in certain states as well as poor management going woke. They were more worried about hiring inclusion panels and minorites in exec positions than taking care of the people in the plants making the products that paid the bills. Most processed food in grocery stores are junk anyways. I worked for the company but would not feed it to my family.
