We have this running at our office on a 42" screen. It's good date to view for sure.

Does this match up to your area? It says one in my area. However, as of four hours ago, there were no reports of any in Louisiana.

            Thanks for sharing.

I coughed at the car wash yesterday and the whole place started eyeballing me.

I think most people are feeding off the frenzy. I just read the CDC said most Americans will be exposed by the end of 2021 and the majority will not experience a major illness due to it. By then, we will have a treatment plan and a vaccination.

Yes, because of the measures being taken now to slow down the spread.

Do the folks who think this is nothing really think all the nations of the world are just spending all that money and effort to contain this because they are bored?

What folks aren't thinking about is that even though only the minority of people who get it will have serious problems even that minority of people having those problems all at once would easily be enough to completely overload the US health care system.

Agreed. Also remember that there are 50 million plus of us Senior Citizens in this country that are at an increased risk. You may not be at much risk, but what about your parents or grandparents?

Yup, let's say only 5mil grannys and gramps contract it, I don't think that's an unreasonable number.

At around 14% fatality rate for elderly people that's 700,000 dead.

The US has 790,000-ish hospital beds.

                              There’s actually ~329 million people in the USA x 70% = ~230 million x 2% = 4.6 million (if 3% = 6.9 million) Deaths

These were the numbers they were talking about for expectations in the US, at 70% infection rate. Mortality may only be 2% but across the US that’s a huge number to even think about.
